Hot Potato Jquiz

Hi, this is the third of my posting related to media for teaching English. Here in this awesome opportunity I will show you how to use software called "hot potatoes". Well, directly check the steps below everyone!

1. Don't forget to install hot potatoes first. (just type "hot potatoes free download" in Google)

2. After installing, click the software and you the first appearance will be like this

3. Okay, as you seen there are 6 kinds of hot potatoes which it has different function. today, I will show you the tutorial how make JQuiz first. Click JQuiz. below are the appearance of JQuiz

4. This box is used for give a title for your matery. (e.g Article and Color)

 

5. "Q" means your questions, you can decide how many question you will give to your students by clicking the "black triangle"

6. Box beside "Q" is used for writing your question.

 

7. You also can decide your type of your question by clicking this box. In this case I will use multiple choice as my type of question so, I click multiple choice.

 8. Next box is used to write your answer of your question. You may decide the alphabet as many as you want.

9.While for this box is used for giving feedback of your answer. (this is optional)

10. Next box is used for giving mark of your right answer. You just click on which your answer is right. For example your right answer is A so you click column A

11. Ok now look at to mine. This is the example of JQuiz.

12. If you want to add picture or video just click "Insert ==> "add picture" for picture, "media object" for video" (you can add more than one picture, you can take your picture from your local drive or from internet)

13. The last step is saving your work. You just click "File ==> Create web page"

14. And FINIIISSSHHH!

That's about the example of multiple choice. How about short answer, hybrid and multi-select? Ok don't worry be happy gaes, I will give you the information from those types of JQuiz.

a. Short Answer
This type is similiar with multiple choice, the difference only in the how the students answer. Short answer, the students should write the answer, not choose the answer.

b. Hybrid
Hybrid is like fill in the gap. So the students will fill the gap that appear in a sentence.

c. The last is multi-select
From the word multi-select it indicates that there will be more than one answer that will provide by the teacher.
